阿彌陀佛塔和平公園
This 24-acre park offers a place for meditation in the midst of Sedona's iconic red rocks.
關於這個地點
Slightly off the beaten path of Sedona's busy areas lies this park. Established in 2004, the park is a favorite of those seeking to tap into their spirituality, or who wish to have a quiet place to reflect in a beautiful setting. People of all faiths are welcome. The park offers a 36-foot stupa (Amitabha, the site's namesake) and a smaller stupa where visitors can pray, meditate, or just enjoy a sense of peace.
A stupa is considered a living presence of Buddha, and as such, many people bring a small offering to place at the foot of the stupa. There are few stupas in the United States and this is the only one located in Arizona .
Park highlights include many areas adorned with prayer flags, wooden boards where visitors can sit and meditate, benches, a medicine wheel, and a stunning wooden statue of Buddha overlooking the Amitabha Stupa. The park has no paved trails, but it is an easy walk/hike throughout for people of all ages. Admission is free, however, donations are accepted.
The park is located at the base of Thunder Mountain and overlooks Sedona proper, offering a beautiful and largely unobstructed view of several of Sedona's stunning red rock mountains.
