Vasari Energy, a solar energy supplier located in Irvine, California, USA, signed a contract to purchase 450 acres of land in Maricopa County, Arizona, for the development of a 68MW solar power photovoltaic project.

The project will be developed through Sonoran Solar Development Partners, a wholly-owned partner of Vasari Energy.

Once the design is approved and completed, the company estimates the project price to be approximately US$13.6 million. Construction is expected to start in October 2019, and operations and power transmission will begin in October 2020.

Vasari Energy Vice President Sam Lipman said: "This project will bring Vasari Energy one step closer to its 2017 solar energy goal of $500 million."

Vasari will be responsible for the development of this project and either sell the project to a financially capable buyer after the design is completed and obtain permits, or build and operate this project to create economic investment and renewable energy projects.

Vasari currently has 200MW of solar project power potential in California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas. Through various investments, the company plans to achieve 700 MW operating capacity by the end of 2020. (Text/Translated by Tina)
