[This newspaper] Li Zhen reported: The general election of the Arizona Chapter of the Chinese-American Alliance (UCA AZ) was held on April 13.

The meeting elected Xu Guofu as the new chairman, and Li Jiang and Xu Wei as vice chairman. Finance Deng Yun, Auditor Xie Chengyan, English Secretary Jia Besco, and Chinese Secretary Zhen Kaiying. The previous chairman Deng Chaoju was promoted to consultant.

> Chairman Xu Guofu delivered his acceptance speech and said that under the leadership of Chairman Deng Chaoju, UCA AZ has grown from scratch in the past two years and has gradually made the community recognize us. Thanks to the directors who have served and are currently serving, we will continue to work with everyone to fight for more citizen rights in the future.

>UCA AZ holds a large-scale event every year, and last year’s “Focus on Youth Mental Health” gained great attention. This year's theme is "Elderly Care", which includes long-term care, classification of nursing homes, establishment of wills, etc. This event is in cooperation with the Phoenix Chinese Senior Citizens Association and is scheduled to be held on May 17 (Friday) at the Chinese Senior Citizens Association clubhouse. The specific arrangements for the event are being confirmed and will be announced immediately once confirmed.

In addition, the 2024 Chinese American Conference will be held in Washington, DC from June 27th to 30th with the theme of "Embracing the Civil Rights Movement in the New Era". This year’s conference will have five tracks: 1) National Youth Conference; 2) National Mental Health Summit; 3) Asian Pacific American Political Action Summit; 4) Community Building and Civic Engagement; and 5) Entrepreneurship and Career Development.

As with previous conferences, the Chinese Community Organizations Showcase and the AAPI Youth Organizations Showcase will be held during the conference. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please scan the QR code to purchase early bird tickets:
