The Rush Funplex plans southeast Mesa entertainment center

The Rush Funplex has plans for an indoor entertainment center near Ellsworth Road and Warner Road in southeast Mesa. The project would be the company's second planned Arizona site after a Goodyear location already in development.

The Rush Funplex is looking at southeast Mesa for another Arizona entertainment center. Plans have been submitted for a venue near Ellsworth Road and Warner Road.

The Mesa project would follow another Arizona site already in the works. The company is also developing a 74,000 square foot entertainment center in Goodyear, next to the Ballpark Village development.

The proposed Mesa venue would bring several indoor attractions under one roof. Planned features include go karts, bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, an arcade, climbing walls, billiards, foam pits, private party rooms, and food service areas.

The Rush Funplex currently operates locations in Utah, Kansas, and Missouri. Brothers Matt and Kenny Gertge founded the company around activity passes that let guests use many of the attractions inside each center.

No opening timeline has been announced for the Mesa plan. If it moves forward, the project would give East Valley families another indoor option for birthdays, group outings, corporate events, and activities during Arizona's hottest months.
