Young pianist Ye Qingqing will perform a charity piano recital at the Tempe Center for the Arts at 10:00 on March 20, 2012. We sincerely invite you to share world classics. Admission is free! The repertoire of the solo concert includes the essence of classical, romantic and impressionist music, including Chopin's "Waltz", Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2" and excerpts from Debussy's works.

Young pianist Ye Qingqing is currently a PhD candidate in piano at ASU and has been active on the professional performance stage in colleges and communities for a long time. The most recent close contact with many Chinese audiences in Alberta was his superb performance at the 2012 Alberta Year of the Dragon Welcome Party (Chandler Center for the Arts): his performance of the Chinese classic "Liuyang River" was full of emotion, sincerity, technical proficiency and restraint, and received a warm response from the audience.

Ye Qingqing, who was born in Chongqing, China, is currently studying for a doctorate in piano performance under Professor Walter Cosand of ASU. Previously obtained a master's degree in piano performance from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in piano performance from Bowling Breen State University. In 2004, Ye Qingqing graduated with honors from the High School Affiliated to Sichuan Conservatory of Music.

Ye Qingqing won the second place in the "Xinghai Cup?#23569; Annual Piano Competition". 1999 Winner of the "Gina Bachauer? International Piano Competition China Division". First place in Indiana's "Masterworks International Music Festival Concerto Competition", first place in the 2005 Ohio Lima Young Pianist Competition, and many other honors. Ye Qingqing

is not only active on the professional performance stage, Ye Qingqing also has rich experience and high enthusiasm for piano teaching. While studying at Northwestern University in the United States, he studied piano teaching methods with Professor Marcia Bosits, a famous American piano educator. Currently at ASU, he serves as a teaching assistant in the piano department, teaching piano major and minor undergraduate courses; he also teaches piano courses for teenagers, which is well received by parents and students.
