The Taiwan Foreign Trade Association and the Arizona Department of Commerce (ACA) of the United States signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU) yesterday (13th). The Taiwan Foreign Trade Association stated that this memorandum is the third cooperation memorandum signed between Taiwan and the United States after the resumption of bilateral "Trade and Investment Framework Agreement" (TIFA) talks in March this year. It will further promote cooperation between the two countries. The Trade Association and Arizona signed a memorandum of economic and trade cooperation yesterday. It was witnessed by Wang Zhigang, Chairman of the Foreign Trade Association, and Janice Brewer, the Governor of Arizona. It was signed by Huang Wenrong, Secretary-General of the Trade Association, and Sandra Watson, Director of the ACA. The Trade Association stated that it will not only add new opportunities to the expansion of trade between Taiwan and the United States, but also help Chinese manufacturers establish cooperation with American businessmen in related industries.

The Trade Association signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce in October last year, and this year it successively signed cooperation memoranda with business agencies in Missouri, California and Arizona.
