The New Year of the Dragon. The personal exhibition of famous painter Fan Rong, jointly organized by the Musical Instrument Museum and the US-China Culture and Art Exchange Association, will meet the general audience at MIM at 10 am on January 8, amid the sound of traditional Chinese songs and dances and the exciting sound of two lions presenting their auspicious gongs. The artist has many large-scale paintings with horses as the theme, which are arranged on both sides of the corridor in the hall. There are also many small works with bright colors that are very pleasing to the eye. Perhaps because it was the first time that Chinese ink painting was exhibited at MIM, it attracted strong novelty and interest from many viewers. Some viewers asked in detail how to draw Chinese paintings, the materials used, etc. Some young people enjoy the wildness of the 'flying' horse. Others appreciate the horse's 'forging' excitement. Many people stopped for a long time in front of the painting "Yellow Flowers Are Especially Fragrant on the Battlefield" and gave guidance and interpretation of the story in the painting. Some families and scholars also asked the painter to explain the story of the "Six Horses of Zhaoling". He has shown a strong interest in and discussion of Chinese history and culture. Some viewers told the artist that your horse's soaring upward gives people a feeling of "power". A friend said that your horse not only gives people an artistic enjoyment, but also gives people a kind of "inspiration". I like it very much! One of the spectators pointed at the painting and said to the artist: Be careful that your horse is going to run outside the paper! It made everyone laugh.

The artist kept answering various questions raised by the audience, patiently explained the story in the painting to children and people with disabilities from time to time, and happily communicated with an American painter about the different characteristics of Eastern and Western culture and art. At the request of the audience, the painter Fan Rong gave live performances several times. The artist used a large stroke of his brush, full of ink, up or down, forward or backward, which made people dizzy. In just ten minutes, a horse leaped onto the paper. The audience gave warm applause to the painter's skillful and quick skills. The audience shook hands with the painter to express their congratulations and thanks. Some viewers took photos with the painter to express their admiration for Chinese culture. An audience member also wished China to take off like a horse in the Year of the Dragon.

>Gu Yayu, Chen Zhigang, Jessica, the person in charge of cultural and artistic exchanges between the United States and China, had cordial conversations with the audience. The exhibition is always immersed in the joyful, warm and friendly cultural exchange atmosphere of the Year of the Dragon.
