(Compiled by Gao Ziyan) For the upcoming Memorial Day, a special commemorative event will be held at 7:00 am on May 24, 2016 on the University of Phoenix campus to commemorate those who have made selfless contributions to this country.
This Monday, May 23, is Memorial Day. That morning, thousands of American flags were planted on the lawn of the University of Phoenix campus. According to Fox 10 News, the theme of this year's event is Salute to Sacrifice. These flags are formed into letters of the theme of the event, which will have a clear visual effect when viewed from the air. Organizers of the event hope to use such a way to commemorate those who have made sacrifices for this country.
The event will start this Monday and end this Friday. The event is open to the entire public. Interested people can attend in person. The specific address is on the University of Phoenix campus along the I 10 Freeway.
