A trip to Lake Pleasant on a refreshing autumn day (reported by Fuwa in the Alberta Times) Arizona is cool and pleasant in October. Going north along Highway 17, the roadside is surrounded by rolling hills and green trees, completely blocking the scorching sun. Arriving at the lakeside, the beautiful scenery of Lake Pleasant dazzles Phoenix visitors who spend all day with the cactus in Nanshan Park and the red boulders of Camel Mountain. On October 28, the event carefully organized by the Arizona Branch of the Chinese Association of Scientists and Engineers (Science and Engineering College) kicked off at the shore of Lake Pleasant. Following the call from event organizer AMOY Yang, more than 30 people, old and young, set off along the mountain road. The mountain is not steep. Everyone on the way talked about the scene of climbing here last April. There was abundant water in April and there were streams everywhere in the mountain streams. Now there are no streams. Even the pontoons are lying dry on the cliffs. It seems that there is a lot less fun. Then you are greatly mistaken. The beautiful scenery and surprises appeared one after another on the road. A big turtle over a foot long looked at me very leisurely, as if he had become a big-name star. Everyone was "honored" to take photos with this "old birthday star". When we arrived at the lake, the children rushed to see the yachts and motorcycles on the lake. Some friends walked along the lake and "walked" the cockleburs with their shoes along the way, which became the most "wild fun" of this mountain climbing. Happy group photo, the temptation of delicious food, childlike fun, the most unique hiking shoes, and me!
