In the golden autumn of October, last Saturday (October 1), Mr. Chen Zhigang, the famous Sichuan Opera "King of Changing Faces" in Fengcheng, and a group of four people represented the US-China Culture and Art Exchange Association to participate in the art performance festival held at the Herberger Art Center. The Herberger Art Center, located in the center of Phoenix City, is exquisite and unique. The gorgeous west hall is filled with audiences of all ethnic groups. People are happily watching the wonderful performances of various ethnic groups. When the host introduces the next show, which will be Fengcheng Chinese artists Chen Zhigang, Zhang Xinzhi, Fan Rong and Du Songlin, who will give us a wonderful Chinese art performance, the venue burst into warm applause. With the audience full of expectations, accompanied by the high-pitched Sichuan Opera singing and black bean music, the first person to appear was Mr. Chen Zhigang, the "King of Changing Faces" dressed in the costume of an ancient Chinese military commander. Every graceful stage step and every appearance of Mr. Chen aroused admiration from the audience. Suddenly, the 'Face Changing King' touched his face with his hand and instantly changed his face, causing the audience to scream, followed by warm applause. With each change of face and climax again and again, the audience's applause and cheers overshadowed the drumming of Sichuan Opera. The audience gave "The King of Faces" endless applause. As soon as it calmed down, young artist Mr. Du Songlin played a beautiful and moving erhu famous song "Happy Yi Village", which immersed the audience in a sweet and elegant atmosphere. Then the music of "Spring River Flower Moonlight Night" rose melodiously and slowly, and the famous martial artist Mr. Zhang Xinzhi performed a set of quintessential Tai Chi to the audience to the music, winning a long round of applause. At this time, the painter Mr. Li Cheng (Fan Rong) had already completed an imposing galloping horse painting on the stage in just 20 minutes by splashing ink on the spot. When he and the two helpers presented the masterpiece to the audience and wished everyone "immediate success and good luck", the audience responded with bursts of warm applause. The four artists took their final bow amidst thunderous applause. The audience was still interested. Many people rushed to the stage to ask when and where the next performance would be, how to learn Chinese talents, whether they could buy the picture of the horse on stage, how to order it, etc. Everyone showed great enthusiasm and interest in Chinese culture and art.
