Gilbert is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. It is adjacent to the Chandler high-tech district and has many schools with excellent educational standards. The new area has complete supporting facilities and is favored by home buyers. Home sales in Gilbert City have been above 1,000 transactions per month from January to May 2011, with prices per square foot at $84. Since May, the number of listings has dropped significantly, so sales have been around 700 housing transactions per month, and the price per square foot has gradually increased from $84 to $85-86. Between November and December 2011, the average price had reached $88 per square foot.
