During the EAA Art Class Open Day, everyone will have the opportunity to enter New Oriental's unique Chinese dance class, observe the teaching of teachers, and experience the process of star forging together. The Chinese dance teaching at New Oriental Art School is a unique Chinese traditional culture education project in the greater Phoenix area and even the province. The school is committed to cultivating hundreds of Chinese dance students, whose ages range from 3 years old to PRE-K to teenagers to adults. The educational method of Chinese dance training is based on the education system of Beijing Dance Academy’s Chinese dance examination, with special content tailored to the specific needs of American Chinese dance students. Every year, it provides a large number of excellent performances and unique Chinese dancers for community stages and the Alberta Chinese Spring Festival Gala. The wonderful performances of the students were well received both inside and outside the Chinese community. Whether you are an art lover, a parent who cares about art education, or an adult dance enthusiast, the school welcomes you to enter the dance class during the open day, experience it on the spot and communicate directly with the teacher. On the basis of highlighting traditional Chinese dance teaching, New Oriental Art School vigorously develops rich and diverse new art classes. Dance teacher and choreographer Hu Qiuzi should respond to the rising craze for adult dance learning in the community and open a new innovative adult dance class of Male + Female. The course takes Chinese folk dance as the core and is supplemented by basic ballet and modern dance training. It trains male and female adult dance students in the same class, focusing on dance communication, coordination and personalized choreography. On the one hand, we hope to cultivate more outstanding adult dance stars for the future cultural stage, and at the same time, we hope to inspire students' self-confidence, artistic temperament and creativity through dance training. Course teaching time is every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00pm. The New Oriental parent-child choir class is another novel art class recently launched by the school. The parent-child choir class is open to children and parents who love music and want to learn vocal music systematically. The course combines professional music vocal training with classic Chinese songs. Children and parents learn together, integrating high-quality parent-child communication into the classroom, and bringing beautiful singing from the classroom back to families and communities. This course is taught by senior chorus educator and mezzo-soprano Fan Yujiu. Teacher Fan graduated from the Vocal Music Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and later went to Beijing Central Orchestra for further studies. She has been the vocal director of Zhuhai Art Museum in Guangdong for a long time, and directed the Zhuhai Chamber Chorus to win the first prize in the Provincial Chorus Competition, the Performance Award in the 4th China International Chorus Festival and the Gold Medal in the China Chorus Festival Competition. Fan Yujiu is also a professional mezzo-soprano soloist in Guangdong Province. She has served as a soloist and event planner in the province and national art festivals many times. After coming to the United States, Teacher Fan Yujiu continued to maintain frequent cooperation with high-level music groups on the east and west coast of the United States, such as the Menlo Park Presbyterian Church Choir in Silicon Valley, California, and the Arbutus United Methodist Church in Baltimore on the east coast. The parent-child choir class teaching time is: 10:00-11:30am every Sunday. On the open day at 2:00pm, Teacher Fan welcomes adults and children to experience her open class teaching. The new art classes recently introduced by New Oriental also include music, classic handcrafting and other courses. On the afternoon of the open day, you will also enjoy wonderful displays of pianos, violins and classic handcrafts. Other open courses on that day also included art classes, martial arts classes and other exciting courses. For more detailed content and information, you are welcome to experience and communicate on the day! You are also welcome to call the school if you have any questions: 602-490-8613.
