(Contributed by Alberta Hope Chinese School) Alberta Hope Chinese School Chairman Li Jian, Principal Tian Lin, Vice Principal Cao Caihong, and Director Liu Yajing went to Chandler Bot Community College CGCC on the afternoon of July 6 to hold the first meeting before the start of the school year with Vice Principal Mr. Bradley Kendrex, Ms. Vice Principal Ms. Sylvia Orr and the heads of relevant departments. Vice President Kendrex first introduced the background of promoting the signing of the cooperation memorandum with Mr. Li Jian, Chairman of Hope, in the past few months and the successful signing thanks to the active and unremitting efforts of both parties. Subsequently, the participants discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two parties and specific matters such as student registration, classroom allocation, teaching equipment, parking lots, and campus security in a friendly atmosphere. Vice Principal Kendrex specifically stated that he hopes that all classrooms in the Chinese school will be arranged in the two adjacent buildings of IRN and CHO. After the meeting, Vice Principal Kendrex and the person in charge of the school personally led Hope and his delegation to visit the classrooms in two buildings and the dance studio in another building.

>CGCC’s beautiful campus environment, clean and tidy classrooms and advanced teaching facilities have left a deep impression on the person in charge of Hope Chinese School. They are also deeply grateful to the friendly and cooperative attitude and professionalism of the CGCC staff. The news that Hope Chinese School will move to the CGCC campus in the fall of 2016 has received great attention from the Chinese community in the region since it was released. Chinese families living in the south and east have said that the new school location is really convenient for everyone. In the new semester, we hope that the Chinese school will add some adult courses and music courses. Hope Chinese School will decide to officially open school on August 20 at the same time as CGCC. Class times are still every Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. The next step is to hope that the Chinese school committee will put in intensive course arrangements to ensure that online registration can be opened before the start of school, making it easier for parents to register their children for courses.
