Phoenix City Fengming (5) The third docking

We docked in Curacao) , according to the information, is an island located in the southern Caribbean Sea, close to the coast of Venezuela. The island was originally part of the Netherlands Antilles and was transformed into an autonomous country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on October 10, 2010. The capital of Curacao is the port city of Wei. Willemstad was also the capital of the Netherlands Antilles in the past. Curacao and the neighboring islands of Aruba (our next stop) and Bonaire are often collectively referred to as the "ABC Islands". The economy here is not very developed, mainly based on tourism and related industries, as well as oil refining and overseas banking. It is a small and colorful country with beautiful and colorful Dutch colonial buildings reflected on the blue water. You can try Venezuelan beer locally. The flag of Curacao has a blue background with a yellow stripe in the lower part and two white five-pointed stars in the upper left. The cruise docking time is from 1:00pm to 11:00pm. After lunch, the three of us disembarked together. Since my feet are not easy to walk for long distances, and I cannot swim in the sea water, for fear of accidentally getting infected again, we decided to let the second brother, Mr. Guan and Mr. Zhang, a total of 9 people, take a medium-sized bus to a bathing place. My husband and I walked around the urban commercial street near the pier and took pictures of the local customs and beautiful scenery. When our cruise ship docked in Curacao, we saw an extremely tall and majestic viaduct. We got off the cruise ship and walked towards the viaduct. Unexpectedly, the viaduct collapsed across the north and south, and it was impossible to climb up. We had to pass under the viaduct and go to the specialty stores in the commercial street. There was nothing we needed. Instead, we went to the open-air commercial street, which is a free market that mainly sells local aboriginal products. It is very unique, but still not enough. The purchase was a feast for the eyes. We were afraid of getting lost, so we returned to the cruise ship along the same route and went back to our room to rest. Although we hadn’t walked too far, our knee joints still felt sore. We sat on the bed and raised our legs for a while, and then we felt much more relaxed and comfortable.

(6) The fourth time we docked.

The cruise sailed all night and morning, and our cruise ship docked for the fourth time. It took a total of 8 hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm. This was the last time we docked. Its name is ARUBA, an island located in the Caribbean, off the Gulf of Venezuela. It is currently a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and half of its national economy comes from tourism and related industries. Most of the tourists come from various countries in the United States. Just like our cruise ship, it carries more than 3,000 people at a time, and each time there are 2 to 3 cruise ships traveling together on the sea. We got on the pier in Aruba and passed through a commercial area. I was not in a hurry to see the products. At the end, there was a table introducing tourist attractions, with maps and brochures introducing the attractions. Walking out of the lobby, we chose a large bus, which was already full of adults and children. There were 11 people in our three families, and we finally found a seat for each of us. The driver was a local middle-aged man who spoke English with a local accent. He introduced himself to the guests and would take us to many sightseeing spots. There are many newly built villas of various types along the way, and some are still under construction. In recent years, Aruba's economy has developed rapidly, people's incomes have increased, living standards have improved, and the number of people buying houses and cars has also increased year by year. Therefore, the real estate industry has also developed with it, with large-scale construction projects everywhere, and there is a prosperous scene. Even the middle-aged driver and tour guide sounds a bit proud. The big bus drove through the streets of newly built villas and came to a scenic spot. Tourists got off the bus one after another and saw a veritable pile of stones, piled high above the ground to form a hill. The tourists climbed up the mountain in unison. Although the mountain was not high, to protect my feet from getting hurt again, I still watched obediently at the bottom of the mountain. Watching the tourists quickly went down the mountain one after another. They said that on this low mountain, you can still watch the sea in the distance. The next attraction is an abandoned navigation lighthouse. It has been in service for more than a hundred years. The surrounding environment is bare. There is a business selling coconuts that is doing very well. Everyone is very thirsty and rush to buy coconuts and drink coconut water to quench their thirst. We also joined in the fun and bought two for $5. The businessman picked up one and cut it open with a big knife three or two times. He inserted a straw and handed it to me. I sucked it with my mouth and it was really sweet, cool and thirst-quenching. The bus drove further and stopped in front of a church. There was no one in the park. The tour guide said: There is no party today and they will not open the door. We turned to the next attraction. As we passed several bathing beaches, it started to drizzle. Some people wanted to get out of the car and go swimming at the bathing beach. But unfortunately, the rain became heavier and heavier, and the guests couldn't help but return to the car. The driver stepped on the accelerator and drove back to the pier in the rain, taking the tourists into the merchandise hall. We walked around the merchandise hall and found that the items were all the same. When we went out to board the cruise ship, the rain had passed and the weather had cleared. Before dinner, Mr. Zhang called and wanted to go to the deck to take pictures of the sunset. This reminded the three of us, and we quickly came to the deck with our cameras. Fortunately, it was not too late. Although there were many people waiting on the deck, we still had a seat to choose from. Look at the sun passing through the clouds. It rained during the day today, and the sun also disappeared and appeared in the sunset. Just when the sun touched the sea level, the sun just passed through a large black cloud, showing a smiling face. I quickly pressed the shutter button to capture this rare moment of beauty. In the next two days, the cruise ship began to return, cruising on the sea day and night. During the day, when I had nothing to do, I went to the duty-free shop on the ship. There were really cheap things, but I didn’t need them, so I bought three scarves and bracelets as gifts for my family and friends. Dinner on the last night was spent in the banquet hall. During the meal, all the service staff stood on the stairs on both sides to perform for the guests. The cheerful and rhythmic music and singing, coupled with the graceful dancing, expressed heartfelt blessings. I really thank them (her) for their excellent service and hard work over the past ten days, which added luster to our cruise vacation. We also sincerely thank and wish each of them (her).

Epilogue: From October 4th, we flew to the Florida airport, spent nine days on a cruise, and flew back to Phoenix safely for ten days. The three of us were surrounded by the love of Mr. Guan and Mr. Zhang, who cared for us all the way. On the plane, it was inconvenient to take care of my legs and feet. Mrs. Guan told the waiter and let us board the plane first to avoid the pain of waiting. When we went to hotels or cruises, they rented cars to take us there. Even when we had a big meal, they helped us order food. After we landed at the beach, they took care of us, led us, and explained everything. Their care is like taking care of their own family. There is a song that goes like this: "We have become a family, because of Jesus, we have become children of God, people of the kingdom of God, sharing resurrection life, sharing the joy of life, being connected in the love of the Lord, and going through the storms of life together because of Jesus." We are all brothers and sisters in the Lord. We still want to thank Mr. Zhang and Mr. Guan's family for their meticulous care and concern for us. May God bless them (her)!
