As the Arizona State Assembly proceeds, some bills have been approved and entered the next step of consideration. Among them, the citizenship test for high school students is particularly interesting. In addition, the test also shows the new governor Doug Ducey's emphasis on the national consciousness and patriotism of the state's people.

The Senate and House of Representatives Education Committees held hearings on Thursday morning, and the entire House of Representatives debated and voted on the bill that afternoon, and senators are expected to react to it.

The House of Representatives' Bill 2064 and the Senator's Bill 1029 have been approved and will be sent to Ducey soon for his stance.

These two bills require students to answer at least 60 questions correctly out of 100 questions on the national exam to be considered a qualified American citizen. Starting in 2016-2017, students will need to pass this exam to successfully obtain a high school or GED diploma.

Ducey said that students not only need to understand basic national knowledge, they also need to be good American citizens.
