Arizona State Fair See you at the same place The annual Arizona State Fair (Arizona State Fair) is here again, from October 12th to November 4th, with a grand opening at 1826 West McDowell Road in Phoenix. The history of the State Fair spans three centuries. As early as 128 years ago, before Arizona became a federal state, Arizona's ancestors gathered during this season to showcase their best livestock and share their agricultural achievements. In November 1884, some Arizona ancestors organized the first fair near Central Street west of the Salt River in Phoenix, and held meetings here every year. In 1891, the Salt River overflowed and flooded the place. In 1905, a special committee was formed, led by hotelier J.C. Adams, and some businessmen raised $9,200 to purchase the current site, build two tracks, grandstands and a wooden fence, and later expanded it to its current size several times. The fair is held regularly, except in 1921 due to the cotton harvest, the Great Depression from 1934 to 1939, and the war from 1943 to 1945. It is basically held as scheduled every year. Today, the fair is not only an exhibition showing agriculture and livestock, but also a good place for entertainment and leisure for the residents of the state. Marshmallows, popcorn, hot dogs, carousels, roller coasters, live bands... It is a good place for the whole family to enjoy the beautiful autumn.
