Dr. Ann Weaver Hart is the next president of the University of Arizona (Alberta Times) The Arizona Higher Education Commission announced on February 17 that the University of Arizona in Tucson has selected Dr. Ann Weaver Hart as its next president. Dr. Hart, former president of Temple University in Philadelphia, was the first female president in the history of Temple University and the University of Arizona. She will take office on July 1 this year.
