AA496 airflow turbulence sent 4 passengers to hospital. US Airways flight 496 from Phoenix to Denver suffered a severe "concussion" last weekend, causing four people to be injured and sent to the hospital for treatment. Two passengers and two flight attendants were injured, including one who was hit by a falling ceiling and suffered a broken bone, a US Airways spokesman said. The injured were in stable condition and one passenger and one flight attendant were discharged from hospital on Monday. A spokesman also confirmed that the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident. QIA reminds passengers taking flights that it is very necessary to fasten seat belts at all times.
