The 8th "Phoenix Night" series of celebrations to welcome the National Celebration and Mid-Autumn Festival will be held on September 21 (Contributed by Hualian of Alberta and written by Yi Yi) The 8th 2014 "Phoenix Night" National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival celebration series will be co-sponsored by the Chinese Federation of Alberta (UCAA), the ASU Confucius Institute, and the ASU Chinese Students and Scholars Association, and co-organized by the Chinese Overseas Chinese Association of Greater Phoenix, New Oriental Art School, Modern Chinese School, Hope Chinese School and other groups. It is planned to kick off on Sunday, September 21 at the ASU Memorial Union. On June 22, the Hualian Association of Alberta gathered various sponsoring and co-organizing groups to hold the first preparatory meeting. President Wang Weizi reviewed the annual "Phoenix Night" celebrations to welcome the National Day and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in the past seven years. The celebrations over the years have received strong support from the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles. The head of the consulate made a special trip from Los Angeles to spend the "Phoenix Night" with the Chinese in Alberta. Politicians at all levels in the United States also enthusiastically participated; a large number of scholars, professors, and senior managers from companies, commercial institutions, academic institutions, and other groups gave speeches at the "Phoenix Night" China-US Forum; people from all walks of life and ethnic groups responded enthusiastically. "Phoenix Night" has become a widely praised annual tradition in Arizona. It has become a high-level exchange platform for all ethnic groups and all walks of life in China and the United States. It has become a lively and bright stage for Arizona's political circles, business circles, academia and its people to enhance their understanding of Chinese culture and enhance their feelings. This year's 8th "Phoenix Night", the Hualian Association of Alberta and the host and co-organizer groups will carefully prepare to take it to the next level and continue to launch the influential Sino-US cooperation and exchange forum, National Day reception, competition awards, art performances, and National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival dances. In addition, a special "Phoenix Night" Mid-Autumn Festival reunion dinner will be launched, where everyone will share reunion delicacies, communicate and share in the warmth and friendship of Home Inn, and enhance their relationship. Organizations and enthusiastic people from all walks of life are welcome to sign up as early as possible and reserve limited seats.
