The 6th World Chinese Media Forum will be held in Chongqing in September [Alberta Times] The 6th "World Chinese Media Forum" will be held in Chongqing from September 17th to 19th this year. By then, more than 500 people, including senior figures from nearly 400 Chinese-language media from about 50 countries and regions on five continents, major central news organizations and some influential media leaders from various parts of the country, will gather at this global high-level summit of Chinese-language media. It is understood that this grand event is co-sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and the China News Service. The forum will present four major highlights: First, it is large in scale, with a wide range of invitations and a large number of participants; second, it has a complete range of media categories, including newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV stations, online media, etc.; third, it is high-level, with all attendees being the chairman, president, president, and editor-in-chief of Chinese-language media; fourth, it is widely distributed in countries and regions with Chinese-language media in the world. Representatives attend the meeting. Our newspaper’s president, Zhen Shuoqin, and chief writer, Shaojun (specially invited representatives), have received [invitation letters] from the Consulate General in Los Angeles. Due to physical reasons, Zhen Shuoqin and his family members have applied to reassign deputy president Zhen Kaiying to Chongqing to participate. After the Chongqing Forum, overseas representatives went to various places to inspect, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province specially invited the Alberta Times to participate in the "Overseas Chinese Media Look at Guangdong" event. Zhen Shuoqin said that the itinerary will be decided based on physical condition.
