[Contributed by the National Association of Chinese Schools] This year, the China Overseas Exchange Association sent a lecture group to Arizona for the first time to train teachers. The workshop will be held on August 21st from 10am-5pm in Mohave Room 23, MU Building, State University. The members of the lecture group are composed of university professors, outstanding teachers and experts.

Course content, lecturer profile and personal photos:

"Primary School Chinese Teaching Method" Du Zhaohui, senior teacher at the Primary School Affiliated to Central China Normal University. Outstanding young teacher in Wuhan. People's Education Press trains teachers on experimental textbooks for compulsory education courses. Editorial board member of the National Curriculum Standard Edition and the Hunan Education Edition primary school Chinese textbook. He has published more than 30 teaching papers in core Chinese journals such as "Primary School Chinese Teaching", "Primary School Chinese Teacher", and "Primary School Chinese Teaching Forum".

"Chinese Culture Special Topic - Exchanges between Chinese Culture and Other Cultures" Wang Xiaolu, professor at Sichuan University. Doctor of Literature, professor at the School of Literature and Journalism and School of Foreign Languages, Sichuan University, doctoral supervisor; director of the Professor Committee of the Overseas Education School. Enjoys special government allowances from the State Council, is an academic leader in Sichuan Province, and has been awarded the title of Sichuan Provincial Famous Teacher and National Model Teacher.

"Handmade (paper-cut, Chinese knot)" Li Ming, senior teacher in the Teaching and Research Section of Jinan Shizhong District Education Bureau. Senior middle school teacher, art teaching and researcher, member of Shandong Young Calligraphers Association. Specializing in oil painting, sculpture, calligraphy, and seal cutting, he loves traditional culture, extensively dabbles in folk art, and is good at handcrafting. I have been working as a teacher for 21 years. I have studied art education and have a deep understanding of the cultural connotation of art education and the important role that art activities play in people's aesthetic literacy and intellectual development. For many years, I have guided the education and teaching work of art teachers in primary and secondary schools, and are committed to the in-depth development of art education.

All participants in the training will receive a certificate from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.

The training event in the Phoenix area is hosted by Modern Chinese School and Hope Chinese School. This training event is also open to other Chinese teachers. The ASU Confucius Institute sponsors and supports teacher training activities in the Phoenix area.

Notes: 1. "Chinese Handicraft Course" (paper-cutting and Chinese knotting) requires each participating teacher to bring their own scissors and lighter (shared), and handicraft materials are provided by the instructor. 2Breakfast and lunch will be provided on the day of the lecture. Each training participant pays $10, which will be used for part of the meal expenses, and the rest will be sponsored by the Confucius Institute. Those who sign up to participate should register by email as soon as possible, and specifically indicate their Chinese name so that the certificate can be issued. Due to the limited number of people in the venue, priority will be accepted based on the registration date.
