75-year-old man was arrested for transporting drugs across state lines (Alberta Times) A 75-year-old Arizona man was caught hiding drugs in his car by local police on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska. According to a news release from the Nebraska State Patrol, Mesa resident William Reed was arrested Friday night in Alda, Hall County. At that time, the patrol stopped Reed for speeding. Later, the police dog smelled the smell of marijuana in the suspect's car. The patrol later found 99 pounds of marijuana bundled in the shape of a tree trunk in the car. Collins, spokesman for the Nebraska State Patrol, said there are not many crimes committed by people in this age group, and it is even rarer for a 75-year-old to transport drugs. Currently, Reed remains in custody.
