The China National Tourism Administration Data Center released the latest figures. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, China received a total of 705 million domestic tourists. The number of tourists hit a new high, and tourism revenue was approximately 583.6 billion yuan (approximately RM372.6 billion).
There are more than 6 million outbound tourists, but it is worth noting that Taiwan, which is blocked by China, and South Korea, which has a stalemate due to the THAAD anti-missile system, are not among the top 10 popular overseas short-term tours.
According to statistics from the National Tourism Administration Data Center, China received a total of 705 million domestic tourists during the eight-day holiday, about 112 million more than the 593 million it received last year, an increase of 11.9%, and tourism revenue was about 583.6 billion yuan. Tuniu Travel released a report on Sunday saying that during the National Day Golden Week, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia became the top three most popular short-term travel destinations for Chinese tourists, while Taiwan and South Korea, which are blocked, were not in the top ten.
