Wheelchair robber robs bank and steals US$70,000 According to police sources, on July 28, a robber in a wheelchair entered the bank and took away US$70,000 at gunpoint. Police are currently searching for the gunman who used a wheelchair as a disguise. It is reported that the CCTV footage of the AmTrust Bank in Phoenix captured the criminals entering the room. After the customer left, the robber held the teller at gunpoint and demanded cash. The teller was forced to withdraw the cash, which was then placed into a bag that appeared to be a laptop bag. Afterwards, the robber got out of the wheelchair, fled the bank, and disappeared from the video. "He had the women wrap duct tape around the hands of the male employees," Phoenix Police Chief Tommy Thompson said. Police revealed that witnesses at the scene said the robbers may have entered a new red Ford Taurus model car and then drove away. He was wearing a pinstriped long-sleeved shirt, a tan soft felt hat with red and blue stripes on his head, jeans and black boots. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 5 feet 7 inches (approximately 1.70 meters) to 5 feet 9 inches (approximately 1.75 meters) tall, with a slim build, approximately 180 pounds (approximately 81.6 kilograms), and between 25-35 years old.
