Bloomberg said that Starbucks has launched the most expensive coffee ever, priced at $7 per cup and weighing 16 ounces.

Starbucks spokesperson Lisa said that Costa Rica's FINCA Palmilera coffee costs $40 for a half-pound bag and $6 for a 12-ounce "high", which is brewed from the fruits of another "Geisha" crop that is rare and difficult to grow. The new product is only sold in 46 coffee shops in Portland and Seattle in the northwest United States and requires expensive Clover brewing machines.

Lisa said that we have some loyal customers who want to try some rare and exquisitely brewed products. Due to customer demand, we will introduce more reserved coffee products.

Starbucks has also recently added instant coffee, energy drinks, juices and single-serve brewed coffee product offerings.
