Yesterday, the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft and the Long March 2F Yao-9 rocket assembly, which carried out my country's first manned rendezvous and docking mission, were transported vertically from the technical area of the Manned Space Launch Site of Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu to the launch area. This marks the final preparation stage for the Tiangong-1 and Shenzhou-9 manned rendezvous and docking missions.

According to the plan, the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft will be launched into space in mid-June.

After completing propellant filling, the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft is hoisted and docked with the launch vehicle to form a complete assembly.

At 10:30 on the 9th, the movable launch platform carrying the assembly drove out of the vertical assembly test plant of the manned space launch site and was safely transferred to the launch tower. Afterwards, work such as spacecraft and rocket function tests and manned, ship, rocket and ground joint tests will be carried out.

If everything goes well, the three astronauts carrying the spacecraft will work and live in Tiangong-1.

An authoritative expert on the scene said: Shenzhou 9 has determined the first launch window and will be launched on the afternoon of the 16th of this month.

The first female astronaut enters space

It is understood that one of the three astronauts will be a woman.

Recently, Qi Faren, a well-known space technology expert, the first chief designer of the Shenzhou spacecraft, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was interviewed to confirm this news.

Qi Faren revealed that there are indeed two female astronauts participating in training, and if nothing goes wrong, one of them will enter space.

It is understood that the most eye-catching are the two female astronauts, one of whom is named Liu Yang; the other is named Wang Yaping, who once served in the Wuhan Flying Forces. The two female astronauts were selected as the first female astronaut crew due to their excellent flight skills and strong psychological quality.

Female astronaut Liu Yang: born in 1978, from Henan Province Female astronaut Wang Yaping: born in April 1978, from Yantai, Shandong Province

Qi Faren said that the mission of "Shenzhou 9" and "Shenzhou 8" is to achieve rendezvous and docking with "Tiangong 1". "Shenzhou 9" and "Shenzhou VIII" have not changed in terms of the basic state of the spacecraft, the size has not changed, but the test missions are different. He confirmed that the "Shenzhou-9" did not arrange activities outside the cabin, and all activities were conducted inside the cabin.
