China News Service, Houston, May 13 (Xinhua) Police in Arizona, USA, confirmed that a fatal shooting occurred at a residence in southern Tucson on the 12th. All five men and women in the house were shot to death. The authorities initially suspected that this was a murder-suicide.

According to the Associated Press report on the 13th, Tucson police spokesman Pete Dugan said that at around 6 pm on the 12th, officers received a call from a man and went to check a single-story house in southern Tucson and found five bodies.

"The details of the case have yet to be sorted out, but all the deceased had obvious signs of gunshot trauma." He said the authorities were not actively looking for suspects because preliminary investigations showed it was a murder-suicide.

Dugan said a man who told police about the bloodshed went to the house to meet someone and "peeped into the house and saw a man who appeared to have been shot multiple times."

Investigators did not release further details or information, including the victim's name and age.

Tucson Police Chief Roberto Villasenor said that all five men and women were shot at some point on the 12th, and there were no young children among them. The bodies were found in different areas of the house.
