Officials in the United States said that this regulation was announced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection on the federal government website on the 22nd and will automatically take effect 30 days after the announcement. In other words, starting from April 21, all foreign travelers entering the United States will no longer need to fill in the entry and exit registration card I-94.

I-94 is a form used by U.S. immigration officials to record and inquire about foreign travelers entering and leaving the United States and during their stay in the United States. Foreign passengers entering the United States must fill out the I-94 before entering the United States, including flight information, passport number, expected stay time and location, visa type and other information.

This U.S. entry and exit registration card, commonly known as the "little white card", will be fully electronic. In the future, before foreign passengers board a plane to the United States, their information will be simultaneously sent to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection through the Advanced Passenger Information (Advanced Passenger Information) system. When passengers enter the United States, they can enter the country after checking that the information is correct.

This electronic entry and exit measure is estimated to save the US government's budget by approximately US$15.5 million per year.
