was awarded "Asian Pacific Heritage Month" by the governor in May. As in previous years, the Asian community received announcements and congratulatory messages from the governor. In this year's "Asian Pacific Heritage Month", we hope that the state government can take practical actions to support the Asian community.
On April 9, Asian Corporate & Enrepreneur Leaders led nearly a hundred associations in the Asian community to jointly submit a letter, imploring the governor to introduce policies in Arizona to prioritize hate crimes against Asians, and allocate funds to establish Asian language hotlines and other methods to promote communication among Asian communities. It has been nearly a month since a letter signed by hundreds of associations to the governor was sent, but we have yet to hear a formal reply from the governor. We hope to see more substantial policies and measures introduced during "Asian Pacific Heritage Month".
