Governor Ducey ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff to commemorate the victims of the Atlanta massacre

Governor Doug Ducey yesterday (March 19) ordered flags on all buildings to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on March 22 to commemorate the shootings of eight victims in downtown Atlanta on March 16.

Governor Ducey said: "This week, eight people died in a senseless and heinous act of violence. He believes that the attack was abhorrent, and Arizona and Atlanta stand together." He said: "We send our prayers and deepest condolences to the Atlanta community and the victims' loved ones." I have ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the eight innocent lives lost. "

The Governor’s order to lower flags to half-staff is coordinated with President Biden’s statement.
