Representatives of the Shanghai Municipal Government were at the 2010 Taipei International Flower Expo Operations Headquarters on the 24th to transfer the Flower Expo Shanghai Exhibition Garden "Haiyun Garden" to the Taipei City Government. "Haiyun Garden" will be preserved as it is after the Flower Expo, for Taipei citizens and tourists to continue to enjoy, becoming a symbol of friendship between the two sister cities of Shanghai and Taipei.

Taipei Flower Expo CEO Chen Xiongwen expressed his gratitude to Shanghai for its support to the Taipei Flower Expo at the transfer ceremony. He said that "Haiyun Garden" showcases Shanghai's culture, tradition and flowers. It is a very eye-catching attraction at this flower expo. It is loved by Taipei citizens and has enhanced the understanding between the citizens of the two cities. "Haiyun Garden" will be settled in Taipei from now on. Taipei City will maintain the original design concept, style and the image it conveys, and will continue to be open to tourists.

The heads of Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office and Garden Management Department attended the transfer ceremony and donation ceremony.

"Haiyun Garden" is located in the Yuanshan Park area of ​​the Taipei Flower Expo. It has a rich Shanghai style and has attracted more than 2.8 million tourists so far.

The Taipei Flower Expo opened on November 6, 2010 in four major park areas in Taipei City and will close on April 2 this year. As of April 23, the number of visitors to the park reached 8,656,371. Organizers expect the total number of visitors to the park to exceed 8.8 million when it closes.
