According to Taiwan's "Wang Bao" report, to celebrate the New Hai Centenary, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei held the "23rd Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling Memorial Site Joint Meeting" at the Zhongshan Building in Yangmingshan on the morning of the 16th. More than 70 representatives and related personnel from the mainland, Hong Kong, Japan and other places were invited to Taiwan to participate in the grand meeting.

Sun Bisheng, the eldest son of Sun Yat-sen's brother Sun Mei, attended the meeting and hoped to jointly promote the global promotion of commemorative activities for Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling.

The report describes the grand participation of the mainland. According to reports, the mainland includes the Beijing Sun Yat-sen Hall Management Service Office, Guangdong Sun Yat-sen Foundation, Beijing Xiangshan Biyun Temple Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Shanghai Sun Yat-sen Nearly 70 people from Soong Ching Ling Cultural Relics Management Committee, Huanghuagang Uprising Headquarters Former Site Memorial Hall, Chongqing Soong Ching Ling Former Residence Exhibition Hall and other units went to Taiwan to attend the grand event. Sun Bisheng, the eldest grandson of Sun Yat-sen's brother Sun Mei, and his wife attended the meeting; however, the Song family did not send representatives to attend.

Shao Minghuang, director of the Kuomintang Party History Museum, gave a speech titled "Sun Yat-sen and Taiwan", explaining the seemingly short-lived but far-reaching relationship between Sun Yat-sen and Taiwan; Professor Deng Zhisong of National Taiwan University gave a lecture on "Sun Yat-sen's Revolutionary Travels", analyzing Sun Yat-sen's travels around the world to raise revolution and revolutionary funds, and combined with his connection with Taiwan.

In addition to the two-day joint meeting at the Sun Yat-sen Building in Taipei, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei also invited all attending dignitaries to inspect Sun Yat-sen's deeds and visit the Taipei National Palace Museum, Taipei Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, New Taipei City Bali Thirteen Lines Museum, Hakka Culture Museum, Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village and other places in central and southern China. The entire visit is scheduled to end on May 22.
