On March 8, 2011, Forbes magazine once again released the list of the world's billionaires. Baidu Chairman and CEO Robin Li ranks 86th on the global rich list with a net worth of US$10.2 billion, up 9 places from 95th on the list released in the same period last year, and his wealth has also increased from US$9.5 billion last year to over US$10 billion. This is the second time that Robin Li has become the richest man in China on the Forbes Global Rich List.

In the Forbes China Rich List released last fall, Liang Wengen, chairman of Sany Group, overtook Robin Li to become the richest man in China. However, as China's stock market fell, especially after sectors such as machinery fell along with the downturn in China's real estate market, Baidu, whose stock price was relatively stable, supported the growth of Robin Li's wealth. Baidu's stock price fluctuated for a while last fall, but has since stabilized.
