In mid-December, fixed interest rates almost reached historical lows again. Low interest rates allowed many home buyers to enjoy discounts.

Freddie Mac reports that 30-year fixed rates average at 3.32%, plus or minus 0.7 percentage points. The record low interest rates averaged 3.31% in November. The 30-year interest rate one year ago was 3.94%

The 15-year fixed rate averaged 2.66%, plus or minus 0.6%. The lowest interest rate in 15 years also averaged 2.63% in November, compared with 3.21% in the same period last year.

The five-year fixed interest rate is 2.7%, plus or minus 0.6%, compared with 2.86% in the same period last year.

The one-year fixed interest rate is 2.53%, plus or minus 0.5%, compared with the same period last year. 2.81%

The drop in interest rates is a great discount for buying a house and refinancing. For more information about real estate, please contact Tinna of Goldtrust Realty (480) 287-0180 E-mail: Goldtrustrealty2010@gmail.com
