Reeds, Lights, Hope Wang Zhaixian People in the world more or less have many hopes in their hearts, and they always hope that the hopes contained in their hearts can be realized one by one. However, some people will gradually become tired of life due to the downturn and hardship in life. However, once the hope they are looking forward to suddenly comes true at an unexpected moment, they will feel very excited and will be full of strong will to live again. It can be seen that if the hope in a person's heart can be realized, it will definitely strengthen his will to live. Even though they are humble beggars in the eyes of the world, they still have hope in their hearts. They are thinking about spending this cold and hungry night, hoping for a more peaceful and comfortable day tomorrow. Although they are beggars, they still have hope to live. There are many people in the world who are world-weary and resentful of their lives, and even some who seek short-sightedness. They are all people who have lost hope. This clearly shows that the hope contained in a person's heart will affect a person's will to survive. Not only do humans live with hope in their hearts, but the One who controls all things also has his hope. Since God is omnipotent, is there any hope waiting for Him to realize it? "A bruised reed he will not break." God is the source of love, so the hope God has is the hope of love, which is a bruised reed he will not break. The so-called reeds refer to God’s people. Reeds are a kind of plant near water. They are extremely fragile and can easily be shaken and broken. Wherever the wind blows, reeds will fall with them. They cannot live without water and are easily affected by the natural world. Today's believers are just reeds living by the water. Once they leave the land of water, they will wither immediately. They must live by the water in order to grow luxuriantly. The source of living water refers to God, His love and the blessings He bestows, as well as the infinite abundance like a spring of living water. However, some people left this spring of living water and instead dug pools with their own hands. Then they wanted to use their own strength to seek blessings. As a result, the pools broke and could not hold water, so they could not receive grace and blessings. In the end, they were destroyed and destroyed. It can be seen that as reeds, we will perish whenever we leave the source of living water. Remember that reeds cannot live without water and are extremely susceptible to the influence of nature. We are also susceptible to the temptation and corruption of the sins of the world. But fortunately, the loving God is not willing to break even the bruised reed. The loving God still has hope for the bruised reed, hoping that it will stand up straight. In fact, many believers are bruised like reeds. He was crushed beyond recognition and looked nothing like a noble Christian. Even so, God was not willing to break the reed. Because God’s love hides hope and infinite hope. He does not blow out the dying candle because the scriptures tell us that those who come to Christ are the light of the world, and the use of light can only be exerted in dark places. Wherever there is darkness, light is needed. God hopes that the lamp he has chosen can be effective and shine into those who are walking in darkness, so that they can all have this light, because this light is given by you and me. This light shines everywhere. May all of us come to this light. But there are many people in the world today who do not love this light but love darkness. He cannot blow out the dying lamp, which fully reveals God's tolerance and hope. He always looks forward to the burning of the burning lamp to shine again. When we carry an oil lamp and search for something in the dark, even though the lamp is about to be extinguished by strong winds, we always cover the lamp with our hands to prevent the dying fire from being extinguished. We always hope that the flame of the oil lamp will shine again and help us find things. The reason why God is not willing to blow out this dying lamp is, firstly, because he wants everyone to be saved and does not want anyone to perish. Secondly, he hopes that this dying lamp can shine again to help Him complete the work of salvation. The Lord has destroyed the enmity between God and man and achieved salvation, but the completion of the work of salvation requires the light of the Lord’s choice to carry it. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he earnestly told his disciples to preach the gospel of salvation to all nations. This work of salvation in darkness requires bright lights. However, at this time when the world desperately needs lights, the lights are about to die out. This is undoubtedly a great disappointment to the owner of the lights. Therefore, God gives us a golden word: "Search, lest the light within you may be darkness." (Luke 11:35) Let us quickly listen to the Lord's call and examine whether the light within us is about to be extinguished without knowing it. Because the value of a lamp lies in its brilliance. A lamp without light will be discarded by people. A lamp without light has no value, not even as good as a firefly. Although fireflies are small and only emit light at the tail, if a group of fireflies fly together, the light they emit is worthy of praise. Few people will think that they are playing the role of a crushed reed and a dying light. Even if they do, they will just sigh, and they will not even think of the terrible consequences. Remember! A bruised reed is not broken. He is the God of the fountain of living water. I hope that it will stand upright again. The dying lamp is not blown out. It is the owner of the lamp who hopes that it will shine brightly again. This is the mercy and tolerance of God. I hope that "the reed will stand up quickly and the lamp will shine brightly." This will fulfill God's hope.
