There are quite a few brothers and sisters who have birthdays in February this year, and one of them has an 80th birthday. She is Aunt Liu Wangsulan, the mother of Pastor Liu of our Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church. Aunt Liu immigrated to the United States from South Korea with her husband when she was young. The children grew up in the United States. As early as more than 20 years ago, the Evergreen Fellowship held meetings and Bible studies at Aunt Liu's home. The children also grew up in the church, and they are all good Christians who love and serve the Lord. Later, the eldest son listened to God’s call and gave up the restaurant business that he had been running for many years. He went to the seminary to study and further his studies. After graduation, he became a full-time preacher and was employed as the pastor of the Fengcheng Christian Church. Aunt Liu is eighty years old and suffers from asthma and allergies, but she always drags a small oxygen bottle in one hand and happily comes to church and attends various gatherings. When talking to everyone, I always tell everyone earnestly and sincerely that the greatest feeling is that if you bring your children to the church from an early age, accept the salvation of Jesus Christ, and let the Holy Spirit live in their hearts, the children will never deviate from the path of the Lord throughout their lives. This will give them the hope of eternal life, which is more precious than giving them more gold and silver treasures. In order to celebrate Aunt Liu's 80th birthday, her five children and their whole family filled the dining hall of the Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church with a sumptuous feast and an oversized birthday cake that was full of color, aroma and taste to entertain the guests attending the birthday party. There were so many guests, and the nine garden-shaped dining tables were filled with guests, with happy smiling faces and a jubilant atmosphere. Sitting around the table in the middle were the brothers and sisters who had birthdays that day and their relatives. When a birthday song was sung at the venue, many cameras were the focus of the moment. , concentrated on the happy smiling faces of the birthday boys, the flash kept flashing and the sound of shooting was popping. The smiling faces of many birthday boys were frozen in that moment. The camera recorded that precious moment for them and left them with beautiful memories! With so many brothers and sisters celebrating their birthday together, and so many relatives and friends coming to congratulate me, it was truly an unforgettable and rare birthday party. There is an old Chinese saying: "Life is rare in seventy years." It describes how few people can live to be seventy years old. The Bible tells us in Psalm 90, verse 10: "The years of our life are seventy years. If we are strong, we can reach eighty years old. But the boasting in it is just toil and sorrow, which will soon be in vain, and we will fly away." It is also a warning to the world to cherish life. Under normal circumstances in life, it is not easy to live to seventy years old, let alone if you are strong, you can reach eighty years old. With the changes of the times, the advancement of medical technology, and the improvement of human health awareness, human life span is extending. Needless to say, it breaks the old saying that "life is rare in seventy years". It is not uncommon for people to live to the age of eighty! There are even ninety-year-old birthday stars who still appear in various church gatherings in a healthy, friendly and lovely manner. He or she has become a role model for everyone to follow! When asking them for the secret of longevity, they always smile and tell everyone: Have a normal heart and live happily every day. Indifferent to all worldly desires, you will be like the Bible says, "worry about nothing" and everything will be under the control of God. What we common people have boasted about in the past is nothing but labor and sorrow, and it turns into nothing in the blink of an eye, and we fly away. Therefore, no matter you are in your teens, 20s, 30s or even 80s, don’t worry about anything. As long as you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior, you should live every day without any worries until you see the Lord! Amen!
