Yearning for Lampang, the energy is like a rainbow "When you come to Vietnam, you have to eat and play!" I often hear many relatives and friends say the same thing, which proves that Vietnam is a place worth eating, drinking and having fun. No wonder the old streets of Pham Ngu in Saigon are often bustling with Western backpackers, many of whom are civilians from European countries. Even though I only had a few days of vacation, I flew to Ho Chi Minh City to visit. I exchanged one euro for nearly 30,000 Vietnamese dollars. I always felt cheap. I enjoyed myself and spent happily until my wallet was empty. I returned to my country with a satisfied mood and continued to fight for life and prepare for the next trip. Vietnam's geographical location in Southeast Asia is very favorable, with a long coastline. If it were not for the war back then and if it had not mistakenly adopted the subsidy system after peace, it would have already become an economically powerful Xiaolong country in Asia. Let’s look back. Even during the Vietnam War, Vietnamese textile factories were built on a large scale, which was a very advanced industry and became famous overseas. Even the funeral parlor built by the Guangzhao Hospital in Ditan served the dead and was the most glorious and magnificent place in the region at that time. It is a pity that in the ten years from 1975 to 1985, all artificial measures were taken to make the country fall into the "advance or retreat" formula and lag behind other countries. Fortunately, we woke up in time, self-examined, and innovated our thinking, so we were able to reverse the decline and form today's development situation, gradually attracting many tourists. What is most worth mentioning is that the overseas Chinese who fled desperately back then are now returning to their hometowns with a considerate attitude, and even investing in building their homes. Therefore, not all those who have returned now are travelers. Many of them have missions, such as visiting relatives and friends, looking for partners, setting up factories to invest, exploring business opportunities, or running trades. This time my husband and I came back to Vietnam, not as many friends imagined. They mainly inspected their own buildings, checked the rental business and the running of grocery stores. Some reform matters need to be planned personally and cannot be handled completely by subordinates. Another thing to do was to assist his son in purchasing necessities for the wedding. Tai Zuo provided valuable advice with his rich experience, which made it easy to accomplish the task. And the most important part is the in-laws and cousins who are far away in Australia. Some of them were separated in Vietnam and have not met each other for more than 30 years. We made an appointment to get together this time. If we don't seize the opportunity in time, "after Suzhou", we will never meet again. Chu Rong, his wife, and his younger sister Xiu Qing, who live together in Phoenix City, also took time off to come and get together despite the obstacles. Relatives like this, we have a house and a house on the embankment, and everything is going well, so of course we have to come! When I decided to fly to Ho Chi Minh City early in May, I didn't expect to meet so many relatives and friends. Except for my son's couple, who had been arranged in advance, and the eleven people from Australia and my wife, who had already made reservations, the others came unexpectedly, some by accident, and some by chance. So the number of relatives and friends gathered in Tuicheng broke the record. The number of times I entered and exited Tan Son Nhat International Airport was also the most in the past. Generally speaking, most of the visits to relatives and friends who have returned to Vietnam are for tourism, and there are fewer other individual tasks. However, no matter who you are, no matter what you do, no matter where you come from, whether it is the United States, Australia, or Taiwan, everyone takes the opportunity to travel. Even if your stay is limited, you can visit nearby attractions and have fun. The most important thing is food, taste Vietnamese food, eat authentic dishes, and special fruits. "After flying all the way to Vietnam, why not come back if you don't take the opportunity to have fun and eat to your heart's content?" Relatives and friends always give a thousand and one reasons to explain this is the best idea. Vietnamese authentic food and beverages are unique and attractive; a variety of subtropical special fruits are bright in color, fresh and delicious, cheap and mouth-watering; there are also various types of seafood, including fish, shrimps, crabs, clams, clams, snails, cooked, fried and grilled, you can choose whatever you like. Vietnamese food is delicious, the coast scenery is beautiful, sightseeing is interesting, and Vietnamese beauties are gentle and graceful. These are all reasons why tourists like to come to Vietnam to eat, drink and have fun. Although the cheap era in Vietnam has passed in the past two years, prices have begun to rise, daily life index has climbed, and the salaried class has been complaining, especially high-end consumer prices are horribly expensive and staggering. But in general, the prices of the middle and lower classes are relatively low compared with those in foreign countries. Moreover, most of the teahouses, pubs, and service industries here are considerate and hospitable to guests, making people happy to come and not shying away from the reward after paying the bill. No wonder many people complained and secretly cursed: "Damn! It's all because of the Vietnamese! We clearly call it expensive, but they say it's cheap; we want to reduce prices, but they still want rewards! It's so annoying! Prices are obviously driven up by their influence." The argument may sound unreasonable, but if you think about it carefully, there are indeed factors. As for the barbering industry, it used to be based on serving the public. Men's haircuts were customarily a complete set of haircuts and facial shaves, and the prices were affordable. Now, in response to the new situation, the prices are divided into two parts. The total charge is at least 40,000 to 50,000 VND, which almost costs an ordinary worker's day's wages. Therefore, low-income people try to save as much as possible and do not repair the hair until the hair is irritated. The Vietnamese feel completely different: "Wow! It's only two or three dollars, so cheap!" They are happy to tip more, but in the eyes of the local workers, they are so angry that they "blow their beards and stare"! It is difficult to explain this situation. Everyone has a different environment, different perceptions, and a completely different attitude towards life issues. In recent years, many wealthy businessmen have appeared in Vietnam, and their lavish spending has made overseas Vietnamese like us shy away. In any case, tourism in Vietnam is still booming, and many tourists from all over the world still yearn for Lampang! Completed on July 24, 2011 in Dicheng, Vietnam
