It is a good thing to be able to re-introduce the deeds of the advanced figures in the overseas Chinese community to everyone and should be encouraged. However, there are errors in the article and need to be corrected: "In 1986, Chinese Deng Weili ran for the Senate in Mesa City. As chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations, he (referring to Deng Chaoze) mobilized local overseas Chinese to provide support and quickly raised a campaign fund." After checking Deng Chaoze (Robert Mr. Tom served as the chairman of the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation from 1980 to 1981. The chairman of the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation in 1986 was not Deng Chaoze, but Mr. Willie Yee. Mr. Deng Chaoze has made great contributions to the Chinese overseas community. Below is a manuscript of one of the articles he wrote in the 1970s, as well as two portraits (the color photos have been included in his recent book "Pearl of the Desert"). His article lets us know more about the early activities of the Overseas Chinese Federation.
