Back in Kunming, we visited Cuihu Park and Daguanlou Park. These two scenic spots are lined with green trees and the scenery is very beautiful, just like being in a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Groups of red-billed hawks fly here from northwest Asia to spend the winter, attracting a large number of tourists. I vaguely remember that when I was young, I lived in downtown Kunming for a short period of time, not far from the Grand View Garden. In my memory, Japanese planes often bombed me, and running the alarm was a common thing in my life. Whenever the long preparatory siren sounds, a red lantern rises from Wuhua Mountain, indicating that the Japanese plane has entered Yunnan Province, and people begin to prepare to run the alarm. About ten minutes later, an emergency siren sounded, one long and one short, and two red lanterns rose on Wuhua Mountain. This marked that the Japanese plane had entered Kunming, so my parents took my hand and went straight to the Grand View Garden to hide from the plane. Sometimes there is an emergency alarm, so I pick up my schoolbag and go straight to the field in front of the door. In the farmland there, there was a ditch nearly one meter deep and 40 centimeters wide between the ridges. I lay prone at the bottom of the ditch, with my schoolbag on my chest, and I didn’t step out until a long warning sounded and the green lantern was hung in Wuhua Mountain. As a child, I didn't feel dangerous at that time, I just felt it was interesting, thinking that I had learned how to run the alarm again. Why did you run the police to the Grand View Garden? I have always been puzzled. It takes two or three hours to run the alarm every time. The adults often gather in the shade of trees or in hidden places to drink tea and chat, always watching the planes in the sky, and they still look very relaxed. It is said that because the Japanese mainly bombed urban areas, temples and ancient architectural areas were not the targets of their air raids, because they were also afraid of being punished if they offended the Buddha. Today's Daguan Tower is still a good place for Kunming people to rest. People gather under the big trees to chat, or play mahjong and poker. Most of them are retired elderly people. Sun Beard's No. 1 Long Couplet in the World written by Sun Beard on the Grand View Tower by the Lake is still the same. I like this long couplet very much. It is a hundred and eighty-digit couplet. The first couplet brings you into the scenic spot around Dianchi Lake, and the second couplet allows you to immerse yourself in the long river of Chinese history. Five hundred miles from the Dianchi Lake, my eyes are covered with lapels. I am delighted with the boundless sky. I can see the divine horse in the east and the spiritual instrument of Zhu in the north. It is winding in the south. A noble person might as well choose Lin Dengsheng. Take advantage of Xie Island and Luozhou to comb the wind. The mist is more beautiful. The sky is dotted with green feathers and red clouds. Don't let down the surrounding fragrant rice. Ten thousand hectares of clear sand. How many hibiscus and Yang Lao in spring. Thousands of years of past events are in my mind. The wine is laden with sighs. What are the heroes thinking about? Nowadays, less than 300 miles of the "five hundred miles of Dianchi Lake" remain. People's reclamation of land from the sea has destroyed the ecological environment of Dianchi Lake; "Thousands of Years of Past" has added great figures from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China and the Republic of China, who have also followed the trajectory of history and entered the Pearl Curtain Painted Building. Count of famous people still look at the present!
> Red-billed Gull from Siberia Kunming is a provincial capital city located in the southwest border of the motherland. Its economic, cultural and transportation conditions are slightly inferior to those of other provincial capitals across the country. During the war, Kunming had a population of nearly one million in a short period of time. Students, businessmen, cultural figures, and many foreigners gathered in Kunming. Many universities in the north moved here and established the Southwest Associated University. A number of well-known scholars such as Zhu Ziqing, Shen Congwen, Liang Sicheng, Fei Xiaotong, Hua Luogeng, and Zhou Peiyuan have taught here, and it has indeed trained a large number of scientific and technological talents such as Yang Zhenning, Li Zhengdao, Zhu Guangya, and Deng Jiaxian. It was impossible to build large-scale residential buildings during the war. There were only low-rise bungalows everywhere in the city. Only a section of Jinbi Road was more lively, with a few two- and three-story buildings. At both ends of the road were two archways, the "Golden Horse" and the "Jade Rooster", which became the symbol of Kunming. Nowadays, the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster have been moved to the roadside and become a tourist attraction for tourists. This archway, which was built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, was demolished during the Cultural Revolution. Although the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway is now located among many high-rise buildings, its majestic style and the brilliance of the golden and green buildings still remain the same as before. Standing there, a century-old modern history emerges before your eyes. General Cai E launched an uprising in response to the Revolution of 1911 and the National Defense Army against Yuan Shikai all set out from here. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Flying Tigers were established and the Youth Army marched to Burma. Grand expedition ceremonies were held here. It is also the gathering place for many domestic democratic movements. It is the spirit of Kunming people and the pride of Kunming people.
The author Cui Zengqi is in Golden Horse and Jade Rooster. Today's Kunming has undergone earth-shaking changes in urban development. There are clusters of high-rise buildings. I estimate that the number of high-rise buildings is at least twenty times that of Phoenix. You can still see towering towers rotating busily everywhere. Trucks carrying construction materials roar by from time to time, kicking up flying dirt. It has been 30 years in a row. Every time I come back to China, I see buildings being built non-stop in cities big and small. China has become the largest construction site in the world. According to my observation, the buildings in Beijing and Shanghai have surpassed those in New York. The tall buildings in China's new skyscrapers have surpassed those in New York at least ten times. I don't know when they will stop. After living in the United States for more than ten years, the city's landmarks have not changed significantly, but when I returned to China's cities, they were completely different after three years. Although China's national system has many shortcomings, it has obvious advantages in organizing large-scale construction projects. In projects such as the construction of the Beijing International Olympic Games Pavilion and the Shanghai World Expo Pavilion, as well as the construction of China's high-speed railway network, the country's command and control capabilities greatly exceed those of any other country in the world. Some economists predict that China will surpass the United States around 2030. It is not impossible from a world historical perspective. Thirty years in Hedong, thirty years in Hexi, the situation has changed. In history, there were periods when the ancient Roman Empire and the Chinese Empire were powerful, and there was a period when the British Empire was at its peak. After the 20th century, the United States became the world's most powerful country. In the 21st century, China may once again become an economic power. The prosperity of all countries has always been accompanied by the great prosperity of culture. Even with the rise of the United States, Europeans said that they lacked culture, but the democracy, freedom and human rights created by the Americans have brought great vitality to the development and prosperity of the country, giving everyone the opportunity to give full play to their talents. China's new take-off is a success of the Communist Party of China's policy options and a victory in conforming to the historical trend. Chinese leaders chose the path of reform and opening up based on the historical experience that some places in China (such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Macao) developed after colonization. In today's world of economic integration, preferential conditions are used to attract funds from all over the world to the land of Liaochuang, China. As a result, the world's top 500 companies entered China one after another, relying on the advantages of cheap land and cheap labor to create a new economic miracle and drive the progress of Chinese society and science and technology. China's success is a success shared by the world's capital and has created a new development model for developing countries. However, I always feel that China still lacks something if it wants to become a world power. In addition to economic conditions, how to provide the people with more complete democracy, how to make everyone dare to tell the truth, and how to re-establish the social atmosphere of a civilized country. Nowadays, the cultural accomplishment and moral quality of the Chinese people seem to have reached a historical low. They have changed from spirituality first to money first, from treating money as dirt to looking at everything for money. Regardless of whether it is a white cat or a black cat, it is a good cat if it makes money. People ignore the law and morality for the sake of money. Government staff even try their best to go to enterprises to raise money. Money, whoever has a way to use power to make money can get more money; Chinese tourists who go abroad leave people with the impression that Chinese people lack moral cultivation and cultural upbringing, like new upstarts; rich passengers who fly first class actually quarreled with the crew and were kicked off the plane. There are endless strange things, and it is really shameful to see and hear them. In a prosperous society, the people must have full democracy and freedom. Nowadays, freedom of speech in China has improved somewhat compared to the Cultural Revolution era, but it still reminds people of the scene described by the old man in the "teahouse", "Mo talk about state affairs."
