More than two months ago, our children invited us to take the Golden Princess cruise ship (Golden Princess) to travel to Alaska. We happily agreed to go together.

It was my first time to take a cruise, so I was looking forward to it for the past two months. Finally, I prepared my travel luggage on June 1st and set off early in the morning on June 2nd. This trip included a large family of six people, three generations, and six large boxes of luggage. A friend with a son took us to the airport. I took a Northwest Airlines flight and arrived in Seattle in three hours. I saw from the plane that the climate gets colder as we fly north, and along the way we see mountains covered with snow that never melts, which is very spectacular. The plane rose above the clouds. The weather was very good. What we saw was the endless blue sky and white clouds. When we were about to reach Seattle, the plane landed and swooped through the thick clouds. There were big white clouds floating over the wings of the plane. It was such a beautiful scene. Not far after we got off the plane and took out our luggage, an old Asian man picked us up. He was a cruise company attendant and told us how to get there. Following his guidance, we placed our luggage in a pile of luggage. He was a cruise company service employee who took the luggage away and delivered it to the door of our room on the cruise ship. We just need to carry our small carry-on bag and wait for the cruise company's big bus. After waiting for about an hour, we watched the big buses of various colors carrying away a whole busload of passengers. When we were looking up and down, we finally saw the big green bus that took us. The big bus passed by many small wooden houses on the roadside, but although they were small, they were really beautiful and elegant. I heard that housing prices in Seattle are very high, twice as high as ours in Phoenix, and most houses are built smaller. When approaching the harbor, we saw three large cruise ships in the distance, docked at the harbor pier. Everyone was guessing which cruise ship was the Golden Princess we were going to take. As the big bus drove closer and closer, among the three large cruise ships in the harbor, we found the Golden Princess cruise ship we were going to take. The big bus took us directly to the Golden Princess cruise ship we were going to take. We finally saw the true face of the Golden Princess cruise ship. ah! It is really a behemoth. Many tourists seem so small in front of this behemoth. We will board the Golden Princess cruise ship for our long-awaited exploration trip to Alaska.

There were many people waiting to board the ship. Everyone lined up consciously, passed the security check in an orderly manner, got their room cards, and went directly to the cafeteria on the 14th floor for lunch. The buffet restaurant is very large, with an abundance of exquisite food, fruits, desserts, and drinks. Because most people board the ship during this time, there is a long queue to enter the restaurant. Fortunately, we were quickly queued up to grab some food, fruit, and desserts. As soon as we sat down, a waiter came to ask what drinks we wanted. The children ordered ice water, and my husband and I ordered green tea. As soon as you take the hot fragrant tea into your mouth, the fatigue of the day's journey is gone. Since I woke up too early in the morning and lost my appetite, I skipped breakfast. Now I ate the exquisite American buffet, which was naturally sweet and delicious and a real treat.

After lunch, our couple went to our room to rest. We stayed in Room B742 on the 11th floor. When you walk out of the elevator and turn into the guest room corridor, your luggage is placed at the door of all guest rooms. Of course, this service is charged for booking. For tourists, this is convenience paid for. We found our room and our two pieces of luggage were already placed at the door of the room. Use the room card to open the door and turn on the lights. The room is clean and tidy. There are big bright glass mirrors everywhere, reflecting your own figure wherever you sit, stand or walk. After taking a short break, my grandson took us to a lecture. The cruise company explained to guests the precautions, how to use life jackets, how to escape, etc. in case of emergency danger.

At 4:00PM in the afternoon, I unknowingly set sail. The Golden Priness sailed along the coast of Canada, cruising along the inner bay. Along the way, there were strange rocks and trees, islands lined up, birds and animals galloping and flying among them, and the scenery was endless. On this luxury cruise ship, you can enjoy all kinds of meals provided. Except for tobacco and alcohol at your own expense, other food, meals, buffets and non-alcoholic drinks are provided free of charge. The child took us to do a brief observation on the cruise ship, and at 5:30Pm we went to the large restaurant on the 5th floor that we had reserved. Table No. 15 in the restaurant was the table reserved by our family, and there was a dedicated waiter to serve us. The children ordered food for us, and the dishes were served slowly. The various desserts after the meal are my favorite, they are beautiful and delicious! My husband reminded me: be careful about gaining too much weight after getting off the boat. I smiled disapprovingly, thinking it wouldn't be that dangerous!

After dinner, there was a program at the Grand Theater at 8:30Pm. When our family entered the theater, we saw that the seats were packed. Not only were there no empty seats, but there were also many people standing on the stairs and walkways on both sides. We stood for a while, and a pair of kind-hearted young people gave us their seats. At this time, we saw an actor speaking on the stage. After watching it for a while, we couldn't understand it. We only heard laughter from time to time, and some people even laughed so hard that they fell forward and backward. We really didn't understand why? I haven’t learned English well in many years, and it’s too late to regret it now! My husband and I gave up our seats to our son and wife and went back to our room to rest.

When I returned to the room, I found that the waiter had put information about the cruise ship and the activities for the next day on the table. With the help of a dictionary, I could understand the activities for the next day. After a tiring day on the boat, sleepyheads came over. I took a shower and fell asleep easily. It was 6:30 AM at dawn, which is the time to get up on time at home. I am about to start a romantic and leisurely exploration trip on the Alaskan sea! (To be continued)
