>Phoenix City Zhang Zhaohong With the arrival of the Dragon Boat Festival, various dragon boat cultures have jumped onto the page again. The paper dragon introduced today is a handmade artwork produced by the Phoenix Chinese Elderly Association. It was made by 90-year-old Granny Lin Yueying and her companions using various recycled materials. The dragon body of this colorful paper dragon is made of blue paper folded into paper triangles and fixed in series. It is strong and secure. The faucet is gorgeously decorated and looks majestic in an anime style. When hung, it can shake the copper bell, which is very lively. There are blue colored chains on both sides of the dragon boat, which look like dragon scales flashing in the light. The bow-shaped dragon head and the curved dragon tail echo in front and back, which is full of dynamics. In order to increase the artistry of the dragon boat, a dragon tower is built in the boat. Its shape is unique, especially the top is decorated with too small colorful balls to match the color of the dragon head. There are also three dragon boat sailors in the boat who are striving to swim upstream with uniform movements. What's even better is that these sailors are actually dressed in Hawaiian costumes, and they look cute and cute. The artistic composition of this dragon boat is exquisite and the image is lifelike, which adds an exotic flavor to the Chinese dragon boat and exposes the Chinese dragon boat culture to the world. For more than ten years, the parents-in-law of the Phoenix Senior Citizens Association have used their wisdom and skill to produce various handmade arts and crafts from waste materials and environmentally friendly products, which have been widely praised by everyone. In addition to being donated to government departments at all levels, many works are also sold for charity at Chinese activity venues, and the funds raised are used back for charity activities. At last year's Lantern Festival, the handmade artworks produced by senior members were widely favored and sold like hotcakes. Many Americans praised them and bought them back for appreciation and collection.
