According to the Associated Press, a sightseeing helicopter crashed in the Grand Canyon in Arizona at around 5:30 pm on the 10th. Bradley, the local police chief of the Hualapai tribe, said that the accident resulted in 3 deaths and 4 serious injuries, and rescue operations are still ongoing.

There were 7 people on the plane on a sightseeing trip in the area at the time, including 6 passengers and 1 pilot. The crash resulted in 3 deaths and 4 injuries. When the incident occurred, witnesses immediately went to check, but the helicopter had already crashed into a 600-foot-deep canyon.

>Photographer Fujimoto was taking wedding photos for people in the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. After the crash, he ran over with people to check and saw that the helicopter in the canyon was on fire and smoking. He saw that the two girls were still alive, but the canyon was too deep. Some people tried to climb down to rescue people, but the terrain was very dangerous. Emergency services arrived in about ten minutes, but by that time most of the fire had been extinguished, he said.

He said that the scene was chaotic and some people were screaming. He had never seen such a scene before.

The crash site is 60 miles northwest of Peach Springs, Arizona. Rescuers are rescuing survivors in the Grand Canyon.

Kenitzer of the Federal Aviation Administration's Communications Office said the cause of the crash was still unclear. He said the crashed helicopter was a Eurocopter EC130.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have launched investigations at the scene of the accident.

All six passengers were from the UK, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office confirmed.

The sightseeing tour company Papillon described in this helicopter claims on its website to be "the world's largest aerial tour company and the only way to visit the Grand Canyon." In August 2001, the company's helicopter crashed and burned near Meadview, killing the pilot and five passengers. A 2004 NTSB report blamed the pilot's decision to land too quickly and too close to the scenic cliff.
