Fire breaks out at a house under construction in Chandler. No casualties yet. On Thursday, July 14, a fire broke out at a house under construction at the intersection of Alma School and Ocotillo roads. When ambulance crews arrived at the scene, a fierce fire was burning and thick smoke filled the surrounding area. Chandler firefighters said the fire was so large that three fire trucks and a fire ladder were used to put out the blaze. Officials said the house was in an advanced stage of construction and the roof tiles were still in the home and had not been installed. Firefighters used the fire extinguishing method to separate the burning house from other surrounding houses under construction to prevent the fire from spreading. Firefighters extinguished the flames within 30 minutes. Investigators are currently on scene looking for the cause of the fire. Hopefully, there will be an answer later today. Firefighters said there were no reports of injuries.
