A patriotic declaration to the public party The "Records of Hongmen's Salary Raising Storm" exhibition organized by the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong General Hall in San Francisco to commemorate the centenary of 1911 will be on display at the site of the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong General Hall (the original site of the Hongmen Salary Raising Bureau) on the 26th of this month. At a media meeting held for the exhibition at the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong Hall on August 18, President Zhou Guoxiang said that on the occasion of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, it is an unshirkable responsibility for Hongmen descendants to truly reproduce the historical facts of Hongmen’s payment. The exhibits in this exhibition are all from the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong Hall’s own collection. Some documents and photos are precious historical documents that have never been mentioned in historical materials and have never been shown to the public.

>100 years ago, the fundraising storm of overseas Chinese in America supporting the Revolution of 1911 was set off in this exhibition hall and gradually spread across North America. The documents and letters presented in this exhibition are all originals that were sent to the same address that year. Its preciousness lies not in its "aged" antique value, but in the many awe-inspiring and soul-stirring stories told by the exhibits themselves that have never been known to the world. The donation list of the Mexico branch

is on display including: the charter of the Hongmen Salary Bureau, donation receipts, correspondence, pictures, Chinese and English newspapers that reported on fundraising and the revolution, as well as a large number of calligraphy and paintings presented by the Republic of China government officials after the success of the revolution, and letters requesting support and thanks.

Wu Peifu's Silk Letters

From the original written evidence recorded in the exhibits in this exhibition, we can find that the Zhigong Hall in San Francisco began to raise funds to support the revolution from the first day Dr. Sun Yat-sen set foot in San Francisco in May 1904. In May 1911, in response to the failure of the Huanghuagang Uprising, the "Hongmen Salary Raising Bureau" was initiated. In March 1912, it was renamed "National Relief Bureau" to raise construction funds for the newly established government of the Republic of China. In 1915, the name was changed to the "Revolutionary Pay Bureau" (General Association of the Republic of China). At the request of Sun Yat-sen, it raised military pay for Yuan's Northern Expedition. In 1925, the Zhi Gong Party was established within the San Francisco Rate Board. From the large amount of existing historical materials, it is not difficult to find out how much the Hongmen Temple in North and South America contributed to the motherland's revolution.

>Republic of China Association Meeting Minutes

Zhao Bingxian, leader of the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong General Hall, said that the precious cultural relics collected in the hall are the results of the protection of Hongmen brothers in the past generations. Due to limited conditions, the content of the exhibition is only a drop in the ocean. I hope that in the future, when conditions are ripe, more precious documents can be made public to the world. Secretary-General Situ Zhongshan said that the exhibition is mainly based on two major clues: year and content, such as: the history of Huang Sande accompanying Sun Yat-sen in fundraising in the United States, the process of the Zhi Gong Party from its establishment to its oath, etc. He said that in order to prepare for this exhibition, the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong Hall has assigned special personnel to organize and repair the works, and all of them have been photographed and registered.

A letter sent from the branch church to the main church Zhou Guoxiang said that the content of the exhibition comes from Hongmen, but history belongs to the people. In addition to commemorating the heroes and martyrs who contributed to the Revolution of 1911, this exhibition also pays tribute to the Hongmen ancestors of the year and to Huang Sande, the third head of the Wuzhou Hongmen Zhigong Hall who dedicated his life to Hongmen and the revolution. Zhou Guoxiang said that Zhi Gong Tang has evolved into a culture, and every brother is a member of the patriotism and the nation. It is hoped that through the exhibition, the younger generation of overseas Chinese will understand the past, take up the national spirit and pass it on.
