Passenger was arrested for not turning off his phone. On September 5, a man was arrested for refusing to turn off his phone on a Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix to Texas. A spokesman for Southwest Airlines said that when the plane landed in El Pago, Texas, the man ignored the flight attendant's dissuasion and turned on his cell phone. After the plane landed, he was taken away by El Pago police at the cabin door. The man's name and other details were not released. For those of you who are used to turning on your phone before the light goes out before the plane lands, please remember: For your own safety and the safety of others, please turn on your phone slowly.
