Woman mailed mother's ashes lost in post office (Alberta Times) A woman who had just lost her mother sent her mother's ashes from the Sun City Post Office to Alola, Colorado, but when she received the mail, there was no ashes in it. The heartbroken woman faced the pain of losing a loved one again. Lynn Young told a local TV station in Denver that she mailed the urn containing her mother's ashes at the Sun City Post Office in the state on January 28. As a result, she only received a package notification but no urn when she returned home. Ms. Yang said that she did not know that items such as ashes need to be sent by registered mail when mailed by the post office. The postman who accepted her package at the post office did not ask her what was in the package. David Rupert, a spokesman for the Sun City Postal Service, said mail carriers were doing everything they could to locate the urn of Ms. Young's mother. According to the obituary, Mrs. Yang's funeral was held at the Congregational Church in Sun City on January 27, and she was buried next to her late husband on February 3. Now her ashes are missing, which really makes her family members grieved. Firefighters extinguished bee stings On Tuesday, 911 received a report of a bee attack near Peoria, injuring four people. Firefighters were dispatched and found a swarm of bees at a residence near 71st Avenue and Peoria Avenue. The bees were so aggressive that a firefighter wearing protective clothing was stung several times. The firefighters finally used foam to kill the bees and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
