President Obama held a formal dinner at the White House on Sunday, entertaining governors from all over the country, and discussing the economy was the main topic during the meeting. Governors from many states attended and reported to the president on their state's economic progress. Only Governor Brewer of Arizona will definitely not attend.

> Brewer told the NBC anchor because she had a prior appointment. When NBC's David Gregory asked, "Are you disrespecting the president?" the governor said, "I'm not going to disrespect the president of the United States, I have other commitments."

Brewer told NBC that she will attend Monday's administration meeting at the White House. It was the National Governors Association annual meeting hosted by President Obama and Vice President Biden. Discussions expected on Monday include increasing job opportunities, child protection, health care, energy and the role of the National Guard.

"Tonight's Governor's Dinner is a social affair," said Governor Brewer.

"I'm the governor, I have my schedule, but I will be there on Monday for all the meetings and policy discussions."

Brewer's absence from the White House dinner was reminiscent of the January 25 scene at the airport in which the governor pointed at the president's nose. Brewer said Obama opposed her immigration policies, and the White House said Brewer misrepresented details of meetings between the president and her in her book. It's not just a matter of a day or two that the two have become incompetent.
