State health officials say that flu cases that occurred in the last week of winter accounted for 30% of the entire winter. There were 338 flu cases recorded last week, and a total of 1,169 cases were recorded throughout the quarter. La Paz County is the only one of the state's 15 counties that is flu-free, said Will Hambold, director of the Department of Health Services. Hamburger said that, as in previous years, most flu patients go unreported and do not receive proper treatment. He said that it is not enough to buy over-the-counter medicines for self-treatment. Especially when patients encounter high fever or difficulty breathing, they should seek help from a medical treatment institution in time to avoid danger.
