Arizona residents not interested in politicians (Alberta Times) Arizona residents are not very interested in their state legislators, a new poll showed on Friday. Respondents said that 34% thought the legislators' performance was "poor", 35% thought the legislators were "ok" and only 29% thought the legislators were "doing a good job". Regarding Governor Brewer's performance, the majority of respondents, 52%, thought she was "fair" or "poor." The majority of respondents identified themselves as Republicans. The poll was conducted by the Lake Research Partnership (Inc.) under the auspices of the Arizona Working Families Alliance. It surveyed 400 respondents from March 26 to 28. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.9%. The survey also found: 76% of respondents said they supported Brewer's policy address. 40% of respondents hope that legislators will focus on job creation and education reform. Nine percent of respondents said lawmakers should focus on changing the current process for hiring and firing public servants.
