>Heroin found, Phoenix police make arrests A Maricopa County Sheriff's undercover operation ended with the arrest of a man and the seizure of four pounds of heroin. Detectives stopped the car of 37-year-old Mario Alberto Hernandez on Friday night in West Phoenix and, with the help of police dogs, found heroin, Sheriff's spokesman Chris Hegstrom said. In addition to drug possession and transportation, the suspect also had two felonies and one misdemeanor and was sent to the Fourth Avenue Jail to await court. Hogström said he believed the drugs were being smuggled from Mexico through the state to the East Coast as usual.
